Why our clearances often cost less
Most clearance companies charge you to remove everything. We work differently.
Items of value recovered during a clearance go to our own auctions and resale channels. That value is passed back as a reduction in your clearance cost. It is why our prices are often lower than you might expect, and sometimes there is no charge at all.
On average, we save around two-thirds of everything we clear from landfill on each clearance. Furniture, clothing, and household goods in reasonable condition go to our resale channels or to local charities rather than a skip.

Lanora House is a small Cornwall team, run by Matt, Brenna, and Ben. We handle every clearance ourselves, sort carefully as we go, and keep as much as we can out of landfill.

Where certain high-value pieces (antiques, jewellery, collectables) are better suited to auction than general resale, we handle the process through our own dedicated auction. Once sold, the proceeds are returned to you directly after the auction closes.
This is separate from the cost reduction that comes from general resale. Both streams are designed to return as much value as possible to you.
